École Elgin Market Public School is a JK-Grade 6 French Immersion school with almost 280 students in the beautiful town of Kincardine on the shores of Lake Huron.
Students in JK-Grade 2 receive at least 90% instruction in French, and this changes to 80% instruction in French, with one hour a day dedicated to English language instruction at Grade 3. In Grades 4-6, students have 50% of their day in French, with Math instruction changing to English, along with two subjects from the following; Social Studies, Science, Health and Physical Education and the Arts.
